How it all began

I was getting married for the first time in my 40s and I had been dieting for the last 15 years on and off. Fed up with the weight coming back on every time, I found a way of eating that helped lose weight but also reduce my cravings for sweet and junk food. It's also a sustainable way of eating that I now want to share to help you get to a stress-free healthy lifestyle.

My story

A little bit about me

I am now married and at my lowest weight since before meeting my now husband. We have 2 dogs and a cat and live in a small town with woods and fields within a few minutes walk. We both love cooking and eating - that's why I had to find a way of eating and living that isn't a diet, I couldn't do that forever.

Be healthy, slimmer and happier

If you are 40 years old and over with a sedentary job, you are more than likely finding hard to be active enough to lose weight. And you don't want to miss out on good food.

It can be difficult to lose weight in your forties, and if you are sat at your desk all day you're probably finding that the weight is not going away, and it's even piling on.

Perimenopause is lurking - your hormones can start fluctuating as soon as your early thirties sometimes. The combination of a desk job, not being active enough (life's busy) and hormone imbalances will not only make it harder to lose weight but might also affect you mentally as anxiety is one of the common symptoms that can appear.

In my program we work on making sure that you lose weight but we also look after your mental health - slimmer and happier.

When you're too busy

When you're busy with looking after your home and you still want to have a social life, sometimes you don't have time or the energy to cook every night, or you might be going out to meet the girls.

Newsflash: you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen but you can still lose weight by making better choices and be a little organised. And enjoy socialising.

It's not about being perfect, it's about making progress and feeling happy about our body.
